Right Wrongs nominated for award

Right Wrongs

Right Wrongs, a partnership project between the ABC, NSLA and AIATSIS, has been shortlisted for the Digital History Prize in the NSW Premier’s History Awards for 2018.

Launched in May 2017, the website commemorates the 50th anniversary of the 1967 referendum to change how Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people were referred to in the Constitution. Drawing on archival materials from the collections of NSLA libraries and AIATSISRight Wrongs features material used in the referendum campaign, including photos, videos, ephemera, audio recordings, text and audience-contributed content. The project was an initiative of NSLA’s Indigenous Working Group.

The winner of the Digital History Prize and other categories in the Premier’s History Awards will be announced at the State Library of New South Wales on Friday 31 August.
