Collaborative Collections Update 23-08-10
Progress
The Project Group has commenced discussion on a formalized agreement to support the repatriation of serial titles and other operational requirements for a shared distributed repository. The work will draw upon the learnings of the Group of 7, who have undertaken similar work.
The NSLA Consortium has changed its name, to the NSLA eResources Consortium, to clarify its purpose. The Terms of Reference for the NSLA eResources Consortium are available here. The NSLA eResources Consortium has been developing a costed model for a national set of e-resources for submission to NSLA. The list of product nominations has been reduced to 20 titles from the original list of 250+ titles, with the preliminary work submitted to NSLA in July 2010. By November 2010, the national set of e-resources will be submitted with pricings and recommendations for funding models.
The Project Group is looking to coordinate its next face-to-face meeting, as an ideal opportunity to discuss the requirements of an agreement for a shared distributed repository. This meeting is likely to occur in October 2010.
